Coptic Binding with Endbands
Wednesday March 13th & 20th 6-9 pm

The coptic sewing pattern was the first used with the introduction of the codex in early eastern Christianity, dating roughly from 100-300 CE. There are may variations of this structure. It is strong, long-lasting, and a favorite for sketchbooks. In this class we will cover the basic Ethiopian coptic with end bands and discuss additional variations that can be added at a later date.
